Cookies Policy

Last updated July 2026

trothos keeps cookies to a minimum: one that's essential to sign you in, one small preference stored locally in your browser, and one optional analytics cookie set that only loads if you accept it.

1. Essential

When you sign in, we set a single session cookie so the service knows you're logged in. It's required for the site to function, is not readable by JavaScript, and is never used for tracking or advertising. It cannot be disabled without also disabling sign-in.

2. Preference (local storage)

Your cookie-consent choice itself is remembered locally in your browser, not a cookie, so the banner doesn't reappear on every visit. This holds only your accept/reject choice, nothing else.

3. Analytics (optional)

If you select “Accept” on the cookie banner, we load an analytics tool that sets its own cookies to measure aggregate, anonymized site usage, such as which pages are visited and roughly how much traffic the site gets. This helps us understand what's working. It never loads if you select “Reject,” and we run no advertising or third-party tracking cookies of any kind.

4. Changing your choice

To withdraw analytics consent after accepting, clear this site's cookies and site data in your browser (usually under Settings → Privacy → Site Data), and the banner will appear again on your next visit so you can choose “Reject.” Most browsers also let you block or delete cookies globally through their own settings, though blocking the essential session cookie will prevent you from staying signed in.
